Ryan Murphy brings a visionary approach to his role as CEO and Founder of Build Holding Company, leveraging decades of expertise to drive innovation and growth across diverse industries. As the founder and managing partner of StoreBuild LLC, Ryan shaped its strategic direction and investment portfolio, establishing it as a leader in retail and restaurant real estate development. Now, under the unified Build Holding Company, Ryan continues to lead with a focus on expansion and transformation.

Before StoreBuild, Ryan co-founded Vequity Holdings, where he designed development processes and strategic controls that remain integral to Build Holding Company’s success. His leadership has been defined by collaboration with some of the world’s most prestigious brands, fostering a creative and scalable approach to real estate development that delivers lasting value for clients.

Ryan’s passion for using real estate to help clients achieve enterprise-scale growth has been the cornerstone of his career. He has acquired and developed over $500 million in medical, retail, and restaurant real estate assets. His accolades include Chicago’s “40 Under 40,” multiple Costar Power Broker awards, and leadership roles such as NAI Global Retail Council Chairman.

A graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Urban Planning and Development, Ryan combines technical expertise with a hands-on understanding of market dynamics. Before founding Vequity, he was a partner and market leader at SRS Real Estate Partners and Managing Director at NAI Hiffman.

Outside work, Ryan is a dedicated husband to his wife, Carey, a proud father of three, and an active community member. He serves as an AAU basketball coach, and when he’s not on the court, he’s likely hitting the slopes, perfecting his golf swing, or embarking on elk-hunting adventures. With a deep appreciation for design and urban planning, Ryan’s personal and professional pursuits align with his commitment to building vibrant, sustainable spaces.

With nearly three decades of real estate expertise, Mike Peirce serves as President of Build Holding Company, driving the firm’s strategic growth and client success. Throughout his career, Mike has completed over 900 commercial real estate transactions, building a reputation as a trusted leader in development and brokerage. His extensive background and client-focused approach align seamlessly with Build Holding Company’s mission to deliver transformative real estate solutions.

Before joining StoreBuild, Mike held prominent leadership roles at Oakridge Properties and Mid-America Real Estate Corp. He is also the Founder and Managing Member of Oakridge Realty. His career milestones include the brokerage and development of more than 5,000,000 square feet of ground-up Walmart and Sam’s Club stores, 1,000,000 square feet of retail development along Randall Road, and an additional 2,000,000 square feet of shopping centers across Chicagoland.

Mike’s ability to collaborate closely with clients has made him a sought-after partner for real estate expansion initiatives and portfolio optimization strategies. His hands-on approach ensures that every project meets and exceeds client expectations, enhancing the value and impact of their real estate holdings.

Mike is a devoted husband and father of two active boys outside the office. His free time is often spent coaching baseball, a passion that reflects his dedication to mentorship and teamwork. His wife, a respected college professor, shares his commitment to fostering growth and excellence. Together, they value family and community and make a positive difference personally and professionally.

Evan Pomerance brings a relationship-driven approach to his role as Vice President at Build Holding Company, where he oversees client engagement, directs the business development team, and manages the execution of large-scale projects. His passion for real estate and commitment to innovation drive impactful results, aligning with Build Holding Company’s mission to deliver enterprise-scale value for clients.

Before joining Build Holding Company, Evan honed his expertise as a healthcare real estate broker at Marcus & Millichap. He is also a partner at Pomerance Properties, where he owns and manages a portfolio of residential and commercial properties across the Midwest, further deepening his insights into strategic development and management.

Evan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics with a Minor in Geography from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. His academic background and professional experience have equipped him with the tools to deliver innovative, client-focused solutions that drive long-term growth.

Outside of work, Evan lives on the north side of Chicago with his wife, Lauren, and their Cocker Spaniel, Archie. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys upland bird and waterfowl hunting, skiing, snowmobiling, and fly fishing. As a licensed pilot based out of Schaumburg Airport, Evan frequently combines his love of aviation with his professional endeavors, flying across the country to meet clients and explore new opportunities.

Maureen Hardy is Executive Vice President of Asset Management at Build Holding Company, bringing over 25 years of expertise in client service and real estate. She oversees the strategic management of the firm’s diverse real estate portfolio, ensuring investments are optimized to deliver long-term growth and value.

Maureen’s extensive experience includes her tenure as Senior Real Estate Asset Manager and Broker at American Heritage Corporation, where she managed over 100 retail, medical, and industrial properties. This background has equipped her with unparalleled organizational skills and a results-driven approach, enabling her to guide complex real estate transactions from planning to execution with precision and success.

At Build Holding Company, Maureen directs properties’ purchase, sale, and development, leveraging her expertise in cash flow management and strategic capital improvements to enhance asset value. She collaborates closely with agents, co-fiduciaries, and partners to maximize portfolio performance while fostering strong client relationships. Her proactive ability to identify risks and opportunities ensures that every decision is grounded in comprehensive market insights and thoughtful analysis.

Maureen’s leadership extends to operational innovation, including her instrumental role in implementing and upgrading Yardi software across the organization’s portfolio. Coordinating efforts across 15 states and multiple internal and external teams, she has streamlined processes and improved operational efficiencies, further reinforcing Build Holding Company’s position as an industry leader.

Her career highlights include managing $50 million in held interests across multiple limited liability companies and successfully leading client and compliance audit initiatives. Maureen consistently delivers profitable outcomes and exceptional client satisfaction through her strategic foresight and collaborative approach.

Maureen enjoys an active family life outside the office with her husband and four children. Together, they embrace outdoor adventures and cherish exploring new destinations, fostering a shared love for nature and discovery. Her dedication to family and community reflects her well-rounded approach to life, balancing professional excellence with personal fulfillment.

Jake Sandresky is a Senior Associate at Build Holding Company, focusing on business development, client engagement, and strategic site selection. Driven by a passion for real estate, Jake brings creative approaches to his work, cultivating strong client relationships and delivering tailored solutions that align with Build Holding Company’s mission to create high-impact spaces and exceed client expectations.

Jake began his career as a retail broker with Matthews Real Estate, where he worked in Austin, TX, and Chicago, IL. This experience gave him a deep understanding of retail markets and a proven ability to identify opportunities that maximize client value.

Jake holds a B.B.A. in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation from Baylor University, where he developed the strategic mindset and problem-solving skills that guide his work today.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Jake now resides in Downtown Chicago with his fiancé, Lauren. Outside of work, he is a casual golfer and an avid triathlete who thrives on personally and professionally challenging himself. Jake’s commitment to excellence, coupled with his innovative and collaborative approach, makes him an integral part of Build Holding Company’s success.
